A Good Day

My last brewing session was pretty idyllic.  I like our gray, rainy season here in Oregon, but those first breaks in the weather can be really nice.  It was an unseasonably sunny, impossibly warm (~83°!) mid-day in early April.  Our house happens to be on one of the frequent approach paths for the nearby regional airport, and I’m kind of an airplane dork, so it was icing on the cake to have all these little planes gliding in, throttled back almost all the way, quietly passing over the trees, over the house, over the dark, bubbling wort that smelled sooo good…
